Movie Review: "Bolt" in 3-D

It's been too long since we went to a movie as a family, so last night after Compass, we loaded up the van and drove over to see Disney's new animated movie, "Bolt". I'm a big kid at heart, so I've always loved cartoons, and the Disney classics in particular. My wife? She really doesn't like cartoons at all, but this one she wanted to see. That should tell you something right there.

"Bolt", in it's essence, is a story about a girl and her dog. It's full of action, comedy, and really heartfelt moments. It's well written, and the voice acting is well cast. When I saw the previews, I had a hard time buying John Travolta and Miley Cyrus as the leads, but it worked pretty well.

If you want to see this, I'd recommend finding a theater showing it in Real3D. The closest one to us is in Elkhart, but it's worth the trip. The film was designed to be seen that way, and it really enhances the experience, especially the action sequences.

So from all the Henschens, "Bolt" is definitely Rob-approved!!
